The water needed for ships to pass rapidly diminishes. Worsening drought creates traffic problems for ships transiting Central America. This situation does not help that of US west coast ports 🇺🇸, which are currently experiencing disruptions due to the impasse in negotiations.

Climate emergency declared in Panama after months of minimal rainfall. 🌧️

Whereas Panama used to experience droughts every five years or so, this now seems to be happening every three years.

The El NiĂąo meteorological phenomenon, which generally brings drier-than-normal conditions, is imminent.

Global trade 🌍 must prepare for restrictions that have already been announced. ⚠️

Urgent action is needed to combat climate change and protect our water resources. 💧
