Hello AP community,

Due to the extreme weather conditions in British Columbia, Vancouver is no longer accessible over the road or by rail. Please note that all rail services coming to and from the Port of Vancouver are halted because of flooding in British Columbia.

Floods and mudslides in British Columbia have damaged or destroyed large sections of highway and rail tracks near Vancouver, closing off major trade corridors as traffic congestion worsens in Canada’s largest port.

Canadian authorities are still assessing the damage before estimating how long it will take to reopen rail lines severed by torrential rains.

Canada’s two major freight railways are unable to operate on the rail tracks along the Fraser River Valley and in southern British Columbia.

We will keep you informed as the situation evolves.
