Good news! After a week of tension and uncertainty, the St. Lawrence Seaway and the Unifor union have managed to find common ground. 🤝

🔄 Provisional agreement reached:
Last Sunday, the 360 workers represented by Unifor finally accepted a provisional agreement, covering engineering, maintenance, and various other worker groups in the provinces of Ontario and Quebec.

🔄 Economic impact:
The strike began on October 22 and paralyzed a crucial trade route linking the Great Lakes to the Atlantic Ocean, with an estimated daily impact of C$34 million on economic activity.

🔄 Mobilization and Resolution:
Union mobilization and intensive negotiations finally paid off, averting more severe disruptions to the supply chain and economy.

🔄 Next Steps:
Workers returned to work on Monday morning and a recovery program has been implemented to gradually resume vessel movement.
